What is the GYROKINESIS® Method?
relating to rotation
The precursor to the GYROTONIC® Method. Also created by Juliu Horvath to adhere his dance injuries. Horvath still continues to refine both the Gyrokinesis and Gyrotonic methods and its equipment today.
Classes often begin on a stool with spinal mobilizations or self-massage, focusing on alignment within movement. The student learns basic principles such as narrowing the pelvis and the arch and curl to create expansive full-bodied movements.
Who is it for?
For those wanting to take their dance and/or fitness practice to the next level, find release in tight, overused muscles, strengthen weaker, less used areas, use the entire body for an educational workout, the list could go on.

Become a Certified GYROKINESIS® Trainer
First take about 10 classes to be comfortable with the technique with a certified Gyrokinesis Trainer.
Then you can attend the Pre-training course which is followed by the Foundation course, which is taught by a Master Trainer.
You then have Apprentice hours (in your own time) and Supervised Apprentice hours (with a Master Trainer) to complete. Once the hours are completed, your newly learned skills will need to be approved to continue.
At last, you can attend the Final Certification course, which takes place over 3 days.
The Gyrokinesis Level 1 Certification lasts for two years. After that, you will have an array of options to choose as an update.
