I’ve just finished teaching my last class of 2021 and I’m taking in the whirlwind that was the past year! From teaching online to returning to the studio was a little hectic, but I feel lucky to even have had the option.

Anyway, last month I finally had the chance to visit both my east and west coast family. Therefore, I’d like to share the GYROTONIC® classes I attended in New York, some incredible hikes in California, and a few things I missed but are worth spreading the word. 💞

NEW POST ✨ Last summer, I had a fantastic conversation with Jamila Kinney (@themovingsoul), a GYROTONIC® & GYROKINESIS® Pre-trainer based in Chicago, Illinois. (WHERE did the time go?!)

I met Jamila virtually during lockdown (June 2020) as I wanted to reach out to other trainers, especially trainers of color. Turns out we have mutual friends! 🌏

It was such a pleasure to speak with her and hear her journey with the methods and why the moving body is so important.

Be back shortly ✨

Long time no post! When studios reopened here in London during April, my schedule went from 20% to 200% very quickly. I feel very fortunate to have had jobs to come back to after almost two years of uncertainty.

I’m now doing a mix of online and in-person classes, which I’ve grown to absolutely love having that kind of flexibility for clients here, there, and anywhere.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be stepping back slightly with my studio hours to have more time for training, studying, and writing for this ongoing outlet: #themovementblog.co.uk 👩🏽‍💻

I’m so excited to reconnect, revive some lost projects and interviews, and share my new(ish) class schedule 🧘🏽‍♀️

I got a chance to speak with Avatâra Ayuso (@avadancecompany) about her background, what led her to beginning @awadance_charity during the Pandemic, and what you can expect in the program and upcoming award celebration this Friday ♥️ Link in bio 🎙️

March 26th at 730pm (GMT) Avatâra and the AWA team will be hosting its first Women in Dance Awards online. This is a chance to highlight leadership in women within the UK Dance sector - from the performer to the back stage technician.

The award ceremony will use a unique platform called Remo, where attendees can 'sit down' and interact with hosts before and after the event!
